Frequently Asked Questions

  • I help make your home work better for the way you actually live. That means figuring out what’s not working—whether it’s clutter, poor layout, or routines that aren’t sticking—and helping you reset it in a way that feels manageable and makes daily life easier.

Sometimes that looks like decluttering, rearranging a space, or setting up simple systems so things stop piling up. Sometimes it’s helping your family get on the same page or creating a better flow in high-traffic areas like the kitchen or entryway.

We take a practical approach, based on how your home functions day to day—so the changes we make are ones you can keep up with.

  • It’s really up to you—your goals, your space, and your budget. I’m happy to work with whatever you already have, even if it’s not much. I’ve worked in all kinds of homes and can get creative with what’s available.

That said, I also know what products work well and how to choose the right ones when they’re needed. If we decide to bring in a few things, I can help guide you through what to buy.

  • You don’t need to do much ahead of time.
There’s no need to clean or straighten up before I get there. It actually helps to see your space as it really is—that’s the best way to understand what’s working, what’s not, and where we should focus.

If you want to prepare a little, here are a few things that can help (but they’re completely optional):
    • Jot down any goals or specific areas you want to address
    • Set aside anything you already know you’re ready to let go of
    • Be ready to make some decisions—but I’ll walk you through it as we go
    • Try to keep the time set aside distraction-free—no visitors, calls, or other appointments. It’s easier to make real progress when we can focus without interruptions.

This is a working session. We’ll go step by step, and I’ll do the heavy lifting—physically and mentally. The goal is to make things clearer and lighter by the end of the day.

  • You don’t have to be actively involved the entire time, but your input—especially in the beginning—really helps us create systems that truly work for you.

We’ll likely need to make decisions about what stays, what goes, and how things should flow based on your daily routines. Being nearby during those parts of the process makes things smoother and more personalized.

That said, every session is flexible. Some clients love to be hands-on throughout, while others prefer to step in and out as needed. We’ll find a rhythm that works best for your comfort and schedule.

  • Please don’t be—I promise, there’s no judgment here. Life gets busy, homes get messy, and that’s completely normal. You’re not alone, and asking for help is a brave and positive step.

My job isn’t to critique—it’s to support, guide, and help you find calm in the chaos. I’ve worked in all kinds of spaces, and I truly see potential, not problems. We’ll take it one step at a time, together.
